Atlantis Single Stage 4400 Litre Washdown Separator
The Single Stage 4400 Litre Washdown Separator is a large-capacity underground wastewater treatment system designed for commercial vehicle wash bays, fleet maintenance depots and industrial washdown facilities. Engineered to separate silt, sediment, oils and hydrocarbons from contaminated wash water, it helps protect the drainage network by reducing pollutants before they enter the foul drainage system.
Manufactured in the UK from high-strength rotationally moulded polyethylene (HDPE), this separator combines exceptional strength with a lightweight construction for easier transportation and installation. Its shallow dig design helps reduce excavation work, making it ideal for sites where installation depth is limited or groundwater levels are higher.
With a generous 4,400-litre capacity, this single stage separator is well suited to busy commercial wash facilities generating larger volumes of contaminated wash water. Large access openings also allow for easy inspection, cleaning and routine maintenance, helping to ensure reliable long-term performance.
Suitable For
- Commercial car wash facilities
- Vehicle valeting centres
- Fleet maintenance depots
- HGV and commercial vehicle cleaning

How Does a Single Stage Washdown Separator Work?
Contaminated wash water enters the separator where heavier particles such as mud, grit and silt naturally settle within the chamber. Oils and hydrocarbons separate from the water and are retained inside the tank before cleaner water is discharged into the drainage system.
This process helps reduce pollutants entering the drainage network while protecting downstream pipework from excessive sediment build-up.
