Atlantis Single Stage 1800 Litre Washdown Separator
The Single Stage 1800 Litre Washdown Separator is a compact underground wastewater treatment system designed for single jet wash and hand wash applications. Ideal for smaller commercial wash facilities, it separates silt, sediment, oils and hydrocarbons from contaminated wash water before it enters the foul drainage system.
Manufactured in the UK from high-strength rotationally moulded polyethylene (HDPE), this washdown separator combines a lightweight construction with excellent durability. Its shallow dig design helps reduce excavation work, making installation quicker and more straightforward while also being well suited to sites with higher groundwater levels.
Designed for lower-volume vehicle washing applications, the 1,800-litre separator provides an effective solution for businesses looking to manage contaminated wash water from cars, vans, light commercial vehicles and equipment cleaning.
Large access points make routine inspection, emptying and maintenance simple, helping to ensure long-term performance throughout the life of the system.
How Does a Single Stage Washdown Separator Work?
Contaminated wash water flows into the separator where heavier materials such as mud, grit and silt naturally settle within the chamber. Oils and hydrocarbons separate from the water and are retained before cleaner water exits the system.
This simple but effective process helps reduce the amount of contamination entering the drainage network while protecting downstream pipework from excessive sediment build-up.
