The Double Stage 3600 Litre Washdown Separator is a high-performance underground wastewater treatment system designed for commercial vehicle wash bays, car wash facilities and industrial cleaning applications. Featuring a two-stage separation process, it provides enhanced removal of silt, sediment, oils and hydrocarbons from contaminated wash water before it enters the foul drainage system.
Manufactured in the UK from high-strength rotationally moulded polyethylene (HDPE), the separator combines exceptional durability with a lightweight construction for easier transportation and installation. Its shallow dig design helps minimise excavation work, making it particularly suitable for sites with restricted excavation depths or higher groundwater levels.
The two-stage design allows contaminants to be separated more effectively than a single-stage system, making it an excellent choice for sites with higher wash water volumes or increased levels of contamination. Large access openings also make routine inspection, emptying and maintenance straightforward.
How Does a Double Stage Washdown Separator Work?
Wash water first enters the primary chamber, where heavier materials such as mud, grit and silt naturally settle. The partially treated water then flows into a second chamber, providing additional separation of finer sediments and hydrocarbons before cleaner water exits the system.
This two-stage process improves treatment efficiency, making it particularly suitable for commercial sites where higher volumes of contaminated wash water are generated.

Important Information
Waste collected from vehicle washing and cleaning operations may be classified as contaminated waste. Any accumulated silt, oils and hydrocarbons should be removed and disposed of responsibly by a registered waste carrier at an appropriately licensed waste management facility.

Standard tanks (no customisation) are returnable but subject to a restocking charge and must be returned in A1 condition. Returns may be expensive due to size and weight; please check before ordering.

Failed delivery attempts: After one unsuccessful delivery attempt, items will be returned to the depot, and redelivery charges may apply.

Special or custom tanks are non-returnable. If the wrong product is ordered or the item is no longer required, it cannot be returned, and no refund will be issued.
