Atlantis Single Stage 5200 Litre Washdown Separator
The Single Stage 5200 Litre Washdown Separator is a high-capacity underground wastewater treatment system designed for brush wash facilities, agricultural machinery cleaning and heavy-duty commercial washdown applications. Engineered to separate silt, sediment, oils and hydrocarbons from contaminated wash water, it helps protect the drainage network by reducing pollutants before they enter the foul drainage system.
Manufactured in the UK from high-strength rotationally moulded polyethylene (HDPE), this washdown separator combines outstanding durability with a lightweight construction for easier transportation and installation. Its shallow dig design reduces excavation requirements, making it particularly suitable for sites where installation depth is limited or groundwater levels are higher.
With a 5,200-litre capacity and a 50 litres per minute flow rate, this model is ideal for higher-volume washdown applications where larger vehicles, agricultural equipment or plant machinery are cleaned on a regular basis. Large access openings also make routine inspection, cleaning and maintenance straightforward, helping to ensure reliable long-term performance.
How Does a Single Stage Washdown Separator Work?
Contaminated wash water enters the separator where heavier materials such as mud, grit and silt naturally settle within the chamber. Oils and hydrocarbons separate from the water and are retained inside the tank before cleaner water is discharged into the drainage system.
This simple but effective process helps reduce pollutants entering the drainage network while protecting downstream pipework from excessive sediment build-up.
