The Marsh Ensign Ultra 45 Person Sewage Treatment Plant is the premium version of the Ensign, built for sites that need the quietest running and the cleanest final effluent. It treats wastewater for up to 45 people, which suits a small community scheme, a hotel or an outdoor activity centre.
How the Ensign Ultra 45 Person Sewage Treatment Plant works
Compared with the standard Ensign, the Ultra adds a near-silent advanced compressor with a built-in alarm, an RCD electrical connection and a unique Polylok tertiary filter. Together, these give better treatment, lower noise and an early warning if the air supply drops.
First, sewage enters the primary settlement chamber, where solids settle and break down. Next, the clarified liquid flows into the aeration chamber. Here, bacteria living on mobile media are fed with air, and they remove the dissolved pollutants. Finally, the treated water passes through a settlement chamber and out to a drainage field or watercourse.
Key features
- Near-silent advanced compressor with low-pressure alarm
- RCD protected electrical connection
- Polylok tertiary filter for a higher quality final effluent
- No internal moving parts in the tank itself
- Tested and approved to BS EN 12566-3, with around 97% pollutant removal on published test results
- Forsheda seal on the inlet, with optional risers for deeper pipes
Outlet options
Choose a gravity outlet if the treated water can flow downhill to your drainage field or watercourse. If it cannot, the pumped outlet version has a built-in pump chamber that lifts the water to a higher discharge point. The price updates when you pick an option.
Inlet depth and extras
The standard inlet sits 770mm below ground level. If your drain arrives deeper than that, choose a deeper inlet option, and the tank will be supplied with a riser to suit.
