The Marsh ENCO 8 Person Sewage Treatment Plant is a cost-effective treatment plant that is based on the proven Ensign design. It serves up to 8 people, which suits a house with up to six bedrooms, or a home with an annexe.
How the ENCO 8 Person Sewage Treatment Plant works
For many homeowners, the ENCO offers the best value in the Marsh range. It uses the same settlement and aeration process as the Ensign, yet the price is lower. As a result, it is a popular choice for replacing an old septic tank or cesspit.
First, sewage enters the primary settlement chamber, where solids settle and break down. Next, the clarified liquid flows into the aeration chamber. Here, bacteria living on mobile media are fed with air, and they remove the dissolved pollutants. Finally, the treated water passes through a settlement chamber and out to a drainage field or watercourse.

Outlet options
Choose a gravity outlet if the treated water can flow downhill to your drainage field or watercourse. If it cannot, the pumped outlet version has a built-in pump chamber that lifts the water to a higher discharge point. The price updates when you pick an option.

The standard inlet sits 550mm below ground level. If your drain arrives deeper than that, choose a deeper inlet option, and the tank will be supplied with a riser to suit.
