The GRAF easyRock 8 Person Non-Electric Sewage Treatment Plant is the largest in the easyRock range. It suits a large house, a farmhouse or a home with an annexe, and it runs with no power at all.
It treats up to 1,200 litres a day. As a result, it copes well with busy households, and the Pack or Line layout makes it easier to fit on a narrow plot.
How the easyRock Works
The easyRock 8 Person Sewage Treatment Plant treats wastewater in three stages, with no power at all. First, sewage flows into the primary settlement tank, where heavy solids sink to form sludge and lighter matter floats to the top.
Next, the settled water passes through a built-in pre-filter, which catches any fine solids that are left. Finally, the water spreads evenly over the GRAFRock filter media in the treatment tank. Natural bacteria grow on the large surface of the GRAFRock and break down the pollutants, so clean water flows out to the drainage field or watercourse.
Key Features
- No electricity, so there are no running costs and nothing to fail in a power cut
- No compressor and no moving parts, so the plant is completely silent
- Extra-flat design with an inlet depth of 380 to 510 mm, so the dig is shallow
- Extension sets take the inlet depth down to a maximum of 1040 mm
- Pack (side by side) or Line (in series) layout, which you can choose on the day
- Anchoring system for sites with a high water table
- GRAFRock mineral filter media for reliable treatment
What’s Included
- Primary settlement tank with built-in pre-filter
- Treatment tank filled with GRAFRock filter media
- Pedestrian lids
- Connection pipework between the two tanks
Options
- Raised outlet with lift pump station, for sites where the treated water cannot flow away by gravity. The pump station comes with a factory-fitted pump and a level alarm, and needs a power supply.
Where Can the Treated Water Go?
Treated water from the plant can usually discharge to a drainage field or, in many cases, to a ditch or stream. In England, the General Binding Rules set out when you can do this without a permit, so check the rules for your site or speak to the Environment Agency before you order. In Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, the local environment regulator sets the rules.

Commissioning and Delivery
A GRAF engineer commissions the plant at no extra cost once it is installed. We deliver the easyRock 8 Person Sewage Treatment Plant free to UK mainland addresses.
