6500 Litre Cesspool Tank – GRAF Carat
Product code
From £1,355.33 Exc VAT (£1,626.40 Inc VAT)
Product Description
The 6500 Litre Cesspool Tank from GRAF is the largest single tank in the Carat range below the Carat XL. It suits busier small sites, for example a pair of holiday lets on a shared tank, a sports pavilion, a village hall or a site compound with several welfare units.
Made from tough, lightweight polyethylene, the 6500 litre cesspool tank is far easier to handle and install than concrete or steel. It is watertight and holds all incoming effluent and raw sewage with no outlet. A licensed waste carrier empties it when it gets close to full.
Key Features
- 6,500 litre capacity (approx. 1,430 gallons)
- Holds raw sewage and effluent with no discharge to ground
- Tough, lightweight GRAF Carat polyethylene construction
- Maxi telescopic dome shaft with 150kg pedestrian lid as standard
- Optional 3.5 tonne traffic lid for driveways and car parks
- Can be linked with further Carat tanks to add capacity
- 15 year manufacturer warranty and 50 year design life
How Often Does a 6500 Litre Cesspool Need Emptying?
At 100 litres a day the 6500 litre tank holds over two months of wastewater. For higher daily flows it still gives a reasonable gap between collections, and further tanks can be linked if more storage is needed later.
For a permanent home, Building Regulations Approved Document H2 asks for a cesspool of at least 18,000 litres for two people. Smaller tanks like this one suit low-use, seasonal or temporary sites. Check with your local Building Control before you order one for a house.
