Product Description

This standard 2000 litre water EU bowser is fully approved for towing on the road and has unrivalled off road capabilities. It is a very important trailer within the construction industry as not only can it be used to transport water but it can also be used for dust control on building sites.

There are many dust suppression products available for this trailer including spray bars, splash plates and the new pressure washer / rainmaker combo. This trailer can be extended for pressure washers. There are also options to convert this water bowser into a flower watering bowser or animal feeding water bowser.

Technical Specifications

  • Chassis – Constructed from 5mm pressed steel section fully welded with a front standing plate and 100 x 50 RSC ‘A’ frame drawbar.
  • Axle / Suspension – Single Knott-Avonride 3000kg torsion beam axle fitted with 300 x 60 auto reverse brakes.
  • Wheels & Tyres – 2 no. 235 /85 x 16 x 12 ply radial tyres on 5 stud 61/2” PCD rims.
  • Coupling – Knott-Avonride 3000kg capacity posibrake over run auto reverse coupling c/w breakaway cable, spring assisted handbrake lever, fitted with 40mm eye or 50mm ball.
  • Ancillary Equipment – Our 2000 litre water EU highway bowser comes with moulded mudguards, mud flaps, front telescopic jockey wheel, Side reflectors, & front markers, full road lighting c/w 13 pin plug and 7 pin adapter.
  • Tank – Trailer Engineering’s 2000 litre water EU highway bowser uses a polyethylene moulded tank, elliptical in section, with internal anti surge baffle & fitted with a 22” lockable outer hinged manlid cover, inner sealed vented manlid. 2” front draw off, 2 rear outlet connections. Tank secured to chassis with 2 stainless steel straps.

‘Potable’ is a term used to describe a tank suitable for storing water for human consumption. To be classified as potable, the plastic it is manufactured from must conform to the WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme). For more information on this, please visit the WRAS Approvals website here where they have an information titled ‘What is a WRAS Approval?’.

Each tank comes with a outlet as standard. The plastic behind the outlet can be removed (‘drilled’) to allow the liquid to run out of the tank and through a tap if you have one fitted. It can also be left ‘undrilled’ which means it remains closed and the liquid cannot come out through this outlet. You may wish the outlet to be left undrilled if you plan to use the tank purely to store water, as an example.

It is possible to choose ‘drilled’ but purchase a ‘plug’ for the correct size outlet which will seal the outlet when required but allow for flexibility in the use of the outlet. Another option is to choose to have the tank ‘undrilled’ and remove the plastic yourself at a later date.

From experience, our customers favor the Baffled Water Tanks for this application.

A Baffled Water Tank has pre-moulded internal walls called ‘baffles’ which helps to control the movement of the water in the tank during transportation of liquid. This also helps to improve the vehicle maneuverability.

The size of tank required is completely dependent on the size of your vehicle and the set-up you require. The most popular Baffled Water Tanks are as follows: 210 Litre upright, 250 Litre upright, 350 Litre upright and the 400 Litre upright water tank. We do have customers who prefer the larger tanks so this is also an option.

The Baffled Water Tanks are also suitable for use with water-fed poles.

Yes. This is possible by using a ‘fusion’ and are available in a number of sizes to suit your application or project. View the range here or read our Fusion Socket Guide here for more information. Just add the required fusion onto your order and once complete, we will be in touch to arrange placement of the fusion/s.

Each Water Storage Tank comes with either a ‘Vented’  or a ‘Plain’ lid as standard.

A vented lid allows air to circulate within the tank, helping to control the pressure within it. This is important if you plan to attach a pump to the tank as without this, the pressure may cause the tank may deform. Often, this type of damage is not repairable.

A plain lid is purely for containing the water and stops air getting into the tank.

This is no problem, the only consideration you may wish to make when using saltwater is whether you would prefer to use a plastic outlet (know as a fusion) rather than the brass or nickel outlet that come as standard with the range. If this is the case, all you need to do is request that you tank comes 'undrilled' which will ensure a plastic 'wall' separates the metal fusion and the tank contents. The plastic fusion can be added almost anywhere on the tank. Just choose the fusion you require and add to your basket along with the tank. Once your order is placed, we will then in touch to discuss where you wish your plastic outlet to be placed.

The Byelaw 30 Kit is specifically used when connecting a tank to mains water supply. With an insect proof screened vent, as well as preventing backflow of the stored water into the main s(potable) supply, it helps to prevents contamination A Byelaw 30 Kit is required in order to conform to the Byelaw 30 Regulation as it helps to maintain the quality of the water in the tank.

Delivery Method

All items (unless otherwise stated on the product page) are delivered to Kerbside. In some instances for the larger items, customer offloading may be required.

Somebody will need to be in to receive and check the goods before signing for them. It is possible to arrange for the goods to be left in a safe place but this is at the risk of the customer and should anything happen to the goods once they have been left, we will be unable to support this.

IMPORTANT – In signing for the goods, you are agreeing that the item packaging is intact. If damage is found after this point, collection or redelivery cost will be down to the customer.

A book-service may be available in some instances. If there are specific timings for your delivery, please add them into the customer notes section on the order.

Missing/Faulty Parts

In the unlikely event that you find there are items missing from your order, please contact us within 14 days of the goods arrival and we will be able to correct this. Note that we may ask for a picture of the goods that have arrived – this will be required by the manufacturer of the goods in order to provide the missing/replacement parts.

All standard tanks (i.e. no customisation) are returnable but will be subject to a restocking charge and must be returned in A1 condition. If a delivery has been attempted and failed 3 times, the item will be taken back to the depot and redelivery charges will apply.
